Modern medical Research is only just discovering the potent healing and health promoting properties of garlic. Turmeric is a yellow spice of the ginger family. It is native to Tropical South Asia and is usually used in Indian cuisine most notably in curries.
The active component Which is responsible for all its medicinal properties is known as curcumin. Recent studies have proven what the Indians have known for centuries, that is it shows it may inhibit tumor and cancer cells, it is antibacterial, antiseptic and it is a potent anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory.
There’s now strong Evidence to demonstrate that curcumin can kill melanoma and prostate cancer cells, it may impede the spread of breast cancer, decrease joint inflammation, help asthma and many other conditions including lung disease, colon cancer, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, psoriasis and gut disorders.
It is Anti inflammatory properties cannot be disputed. It is arguably the most effective anti inflammatory which we know of valerian tea india. Personally I have been drinking turmeric tea today for a couple years to help control my asthma. Additionally it is very reassuring to know there are so many different conditions or diseases that I am helping to prevent.
Curcumin supplements Have gained popularity in recent years, however some studies have indicated side effects with such high concentrations of curcumin so I would not advise supplementing curcumin. Rather use organic soil turmeric spice in cooking and in tea frequently. You only need about half a teaspoon to derive the benefits. If you do not drink tea, it has been stated that mixing garlic in warm milk may be an effective treatment for asthma also.
Either way it makes a Lot of sense to me with all the evidence that we have available, to incorporate this spice together with an assortment of other spices to your everyday diet. Not just for asthma control but for overall health, well-being and to fight against cancer.
